Mission Activities at Assembly
Assembly for Children
Assembly for Children Registration Now Open! |
The International Children's Ministries department is busy preparing for SUPER KIDS, the 2014 Assembly for Children taking place during the 98th International Assembly in Orlando, Florida. Each day children will discover an important truth from God's Word that will help them live as God's SUPER KIDS. On Thursday our elementary school children will focus on the truth, "I see me as God sees me. I am valuable." On Friday they will respond to the truth, "When God calls me, I will listen and say yes!" On Saturday they will make a choice: "Easy or hard; big or small; I will obey God's call." SUPER KIDS Assembly for Children is going to be an amazing time when your child has the opportunity to experience God's Word, God's presence, God's purposes. Make it a priority for your children to attend the morning and evening sessions of ASSEMBLY FOR CHILDREN. Note: Spanish translation will be provided in preschool and elementary sessions. Visit the KidCheck registration page through this link to pre-register TODAY!! |

2014 International Assembly
Last week we, the Assembly Task Force, had our last onsite meeting at the Rosen Shingle Resort. As has been previously mentioned, the facilities is second to none of anyplace we have held our Assembly in recent years. The details are coming together to make this one of the best and most assuredly largest attended Assemblies in many years. Simply I have been well pleased with all that I have seen and experienced at Rosen Shingle. I would encourage our people to make the effort to attend if at all possible. With the Assembly being in Florida, this could be the closest Assembly to our membership in Alabama for several years.
I also wanted to ask if any of our people that plan on attending would be willing to help serve the Assembly delegates in one of three areas it would be a great blessing to our people. There will be a schedule of sessions and dates based upon each ones availability. As well, we will train and brief each day so we can best serve the people. Here are three opportunities to serve:
Greeters: Greeters will be throughout the property to welcome and help provide information and assistance to our delegates.
Ushers: Ushers will mostly serve on Assembly floor to help with seating, any information to be passed out, and with offerings.
Security: Security will be for all of our areas from the main hall to the children's area and the bookstore. This area requires some form of law enforcement background or training. If any of our people would like to serve in one of these areas they can contact me directly with the information below. I will need the dates and sessions (morning, afternoon, evening) available to serve.
2014 International Assembly is going to be a wonderful time. See you there!
God Bless,
