Assembly Events



International Assembly Updates
The 98th International Assembly of the Church of God of Prophecy being held July 30-Aug. 3 at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, is expected to be one of the biggest since moving from its Cleveland location. Hotels are filling up and thousands are registering for this incredible week. Here are some items to remember:

Registration: If you haven't yet registered, you can do that here, even if you are not booking a room. The registration process will help in planning future events.

Workshops: Twenty-six workshop sessions will be held on Thursday, July 31 on a variety of subjects, including missions, leadership development, education and more. Browse the topics and begin planning today.

Mission Activities: A highlight of every Assembly is mission-oriented activities such as the Mission Encounter, being held Friday afternoon, and the Mission Breakfast, held on Saturday morning. Admission to the Encounter is free. Tickets for the breakfast can be purchased here.
BREAKOUT Youth Assembly: Youth can take part in an exciting three days of training and celebration in the Breakout Youth Assembly, happening Thursday through Saturday. Activities will include breakout sessions, a basketball tournament, a youth mission team experience in Orlando and a BREAKOUT celebration Saturday night with recording artists Seth and Nirva Ready (TobyMac's DiverseCity band) and Youth Ministries Co-Director Trevor Reid. SuperKids Assembly for Children: On Thursday through Saturday, children ages 4-12 can participate in a variety of services that include games, music, creative Bible story presentations and relational ministry. Children can also participate in the Young Harvest Choir, which will sing during the closing session on Sunday. For more information and to register your child, click here.


Tomlinson College Reunion: All alumni, former faculty and staff of Tomlinson College and Tomlinson Center are encouraged to meet together on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 12:30 in the Butler Room. Tickets are required and can be purchased here.

Discounted Disney Tickets: Walt Disney World has offered the COGOP discounted ticket rates for those wanting to visit the parks before or after the Assembly. Special rates are $59 (after 4 pm admission), $74 (after 2 pm admission), $131 for two days admission and a variety of other multi-day options. Chaplaincy Course at Assembly

Level I Community Service Chaplain Course  -  July 27-29, 2014 - Orlando, FL


Dr. Douglas Stephenson, Chaplaincy Ministries Director, will be teaching Chaplaincy classes prior to the International Assembly in Orlando, Florida July 27-29, 2014.  He has become a certified instructor with The International Association of Community Service Chaplains (TIACSC) formerly known as the Church of God Chaplains Commission.

This year Dr. Stephenson will offer the Level I Community Service Chaplain course which certifies the graduate as a Basic Level Community Service Chaplain.

There are two more levels of training which the chaplain can complete following this course:  CSC Levels II and III.  This 20 hour course normally costs $360 but the leaders of TIACSC are providing scholarships for all who take the course this assembly.  The cost to each participant will be $70.  This chaplaincy certification course is endorsed by the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, Cleveland, Tennessee.
